The Client

Analog Devices is a world leader in the design, manufacture, and marketing of a broad portfolio of high performance analog, mixed-signal, and digital signal processing integrated circuits used in virtually all types of electronic equipment. Since its inception in 1965, the company has focused on solving the engineering challenges associated with signal processing in electronic equipment. Used by over 100,000 customers worldwide, their products are designed to meet the needs of a broad base of those customers in the industrial, automotive, communications and consumer markets.

The Challenge

When the Company decided to upgrade the facilities and increase the capacity of their headquarters campus in Wilmington MA, they reached out to several AV integration companies in the area.  TRITECH was selected through a competitive bid process. The architectural design called for a central building, The Hub, to act as a connection point between buildings on the large campus.  The Hub would also act as the central meeting and collaboration area for employees and visitors.  A number of innovative areas were included that would foster and enhance the exchange of ideas.  TRITECH was tasked with building out the technologies in those spaces as well as in numerous standard conference rooms throughout the campus. As the project gained momentum, the COVID epidemic imposed many challenges on the project teams.  Frequent schedule delays, sporadic equipment availability and staffing inconsistencies added to the normal issues encountered on a project of this magnitude and complexity.

The Solutions

One of the main meeting spaces on campus is the Town Hall.  Located in the 3-story central atrium of The Hub, it is built to accommodate over 300 in a tiered and table seating configuration.  The hall’s signature piece is a video wall measuring 26’ wide x 12’ high.  The wall can be lowered to an operating position 2’ off the floor and raised to a storage position 24’ above that floor.  The lift mechanism required extensive custom engineering, fabrication and installation.  Systems installed allow remote participants to join or lead a presentation or conference.  The speech reinforcement system utilizes numerous wireless microphones and ceiling and wall mounted loudspeakers.  Other spaces equipped by TRITECH include a tiered classroom which features a large projection system and an extensive audience audio system.  Video and audio conference capabilities are also included. TRITECH also provided numerous meeting rooms of various sizes throughout the campus, each with video and audio conference features.
