The Challenge
As the Firm positioned itself for rapid US growth, it became imperative that a modern, future-facing space was built to accommodate the expanding team of lawyers and business professionals. Advances in presentation and collaboration technology also necessitated a refresh of the Audio Visual systems that would support a more mobile and diverse workforce. A new, more user friendly and self-serve approach to the technology was required as additional rooms were added without equivalent increases in personnel support. The Firm also needed a large, extremely flexible meeting space with extensive AV technology, that was configurable and usable by non-technical staff. The space would need to provide presenters, lecturers and trainers with the ability to easily interact with local participants as well as those joining remotely through a myriad of devices, located throughout the world. Additionally, the space would be used as a welcoming and inspiring area for informal, social events and Town Halls.
The Solutions
A variety of room types of various sizes were provided throughout the space with two floors designated to operate as a conference center, one of which housing multi-purpose rooms as well as larger meeting/training rooms. All these rooms feature presentation and collaboration technology and are intended to be user controlled. A Master Control room was also provided to allow technicians to setup and control large events, involving multiple setups and/or presenters. Many rooms feature projection technology as well as large, LED video walls to give meeting planners greater flexibility in room configuration and to maximize the space’s large windows with commanding views of Downtown Manhattan. TRITECH worked closely with TAD, the Audio Visual consulting firm that designed the systems, to build systems that meet current client demands while insuring their expandability as the Firm continues to grow.
The Outcome
TRITECH and the rest of the construction and design teams are proud of the space they worked in close collaboration to complete. Spaces are open, visually interesting, highly functional and flexible while serving the Firm’s needs for usable, friendly and informative technology. Rooms are well received and in high demand while Improvements and enhancements are ongoing as Day 2 items.
