The Client

The Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) is a policy organization representing the nuclear energy industry. It advocates for the beneficial uses of nuclear energy and supports the development of policies that promote safe and efficient nuclear power. NEI provides industry data, facilitates training, and engages in public outreach to enhance nuclear energy's role in the energy mix.

The Challenge

Designing and building the project presented several challenges. The room acoustics were problematic due to the large glass windows and an overhead glass lighting fixture. The room’s size made it difficult to capture all participants on video and audio, and hearing all participants was challenging without the use of overhead speakers. The table configuration complicated presenting content to everyone in the meeting, and the need for multiple video and audio sources made routing a complex task.

The Solutions

To address the challenges faced in designing the space, the TRITECH design team selected a multi-function delegate system that included a tabletop display, microphone, and speakers. This innovative solution ensured that each of the 39 participants could view and hear both remote and local content, including video feeds, thus enhancing the overall meeting experience. A digital audio ecosystem was created which provided support to those not seated at the oval table. Speakers, microphones and cameras were installed, enabling all participants to view, hear, and actively engage in meetings and presentations.

Additionally, a digital signage system was provided to welcome and inform guests, giving them key information about the organization. A major element of this system is a 12’ wide video wall, which serves as an impressive and informative display, enhancing the visitor experience and ensuring clear communication throughout the facility.
