Position Overview

This position requires a professional systems engineer with a high technical IQ, complete understanding of a wide range of Audio-Visual system designs, deep product knowledge, ability to quickly learn new technologies, ability to be agile & react to a fast paced project environment, maintain professionalism, possess outstanding written & verbal communication skills, make system engineering decisions without direct supervision and interface with customers & customers project team (ie. project manager, architect, MEP engineer and technology design consultants.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Ability to understand IP networks and architecture.
  • Develop deep knowledge of current and new Audio Visual technologies.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of emerging trends in the Audio Visual industry.
  • Review RFP drawings & design specifications to verify design intent, system functionality, system reliability and BOM gaps.
  • Review equipment list and make decision to release equipment for ordering.
  • Create drawing package in CAD to achieve project schedule.
  • Approve drawing package and communicate to project team.
  • Pre and post-sales support to sales, technical staff and customers.
  • Function as a project team member working in close coordination with Project Managers, Field Supervisors and customers project team regarding project deliverables.

  • Must be able to read and effectively interpret general business documentation.


  • 4-year Bachelors Engineering Degree or 4 years Professional Audio Visual System Engineering experience plus exceptional technical IQ with a demonstrated deep knowledge of leading edge Audio Visual systems.
  • Must possess ability to independently interface with design consultants and customers.
  • Hold ICIA (International Communications Industry Association) certification as a Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) or higher.
  • Hold technical certifications from major equipment manufacturers such as Crestron, Extron, Clear One, AMX, etc.


Travel required to customer locations, TRITECH’s fabrication facility and manufacturer locations for advanced technical training.
