The Client

The Investment Company Institute, the world’s leading association of financial investment and 401K management firms recently chose TRITECH to design and install the advanced audiovisual systems for their newly renovated headquarters located in Washington, DC.

The Challenge

Together with the award winning firm of Fox Architects, the team at TRITECH worked closely with the ICI management to define and utilize the best applications of today’s presentation and conferencing technologies to meet their specific needs. Seven spaces were involved in the project including dedicated rooms such as:

  • Two multi-purpose divisible conference rooms
  • A Webinar Production room
  • An in house Broadcast Studio
  • An Executive Conference Room
  • An senior level Boardroom

At the center of the project was the David Silver Conference Room, an executive level 68 seat meeting space for the directors of each of the association’s member firms complete with multi-camera high definition video conferencing capability, digital recording and web streaming, and audio conferencing sub systems all tied into an approximately 7 ft high by 15 ft wide multi-segment video wall, along with four 60” LED-LCD supplemental displays in the room.

The Solutions

All the rooms were provided with easy to use media control systems with customized user interfaces, and many included audioconferencing capabilities as well. TRITECH worked over the course of 16 months to fully integrate these systems into the architectural designs, as well as to fully train the ICI staff as to the proper operation and maintenance of these new systems, in order to enhance the organization’s image and work towards improving the ICI’s communications with its membership and the world at large.
